(PRESS RELEASE) PORTLAND, OR — Pacific Artisan Labs and The Artisan Network have appointed Jim Day as executive vice president of sales and marketing. Based in the metro DFW area, he will lead the network’s growth and expansion throughout the United States.

Jim has served in various cross-functional roles throughout the optical industry, focusing on advancing independent eye care practices.

He began his career with Hoya Vision Care as their massive US expansion began, under the leadership of Barney and Mike Dougher. There, he operated in field sales, key and strategic account management, sales management, strategic partnerships, and executive sales leadership roles.

Additionally, Jim has actively been involved in other vision care product solutions directly to supporting independent eye care endeavors, consulting startup businesses, and operating commercial strategies. He will continue active involvement and maintain advisory roles with these companies.

“We are beyond excited to have Jim Day, a nearly 20-year industry veteran with a history of supporting and serving the independent eye care market, join our organization as a senior executive. With his wealth of experience and total alignment of our equity owners, partners, and our existing executive team, this will allow PAL to continue down the path of significant disruption to the industry,” said Brandon Butler, Pacific Artisan’s chief executive officer.
