PARIS (AP) — Center back Kevin Danso led Lens to a 1-0 win against Troyes and the unbeaten northern side moved to the top of the French league on Friday.
Danso escaped his marker in the 39th minute and headed the ball home from Przemyslaw Frankowski’s free kick. Lens created more chances after the interval but could not find a cutting edge.

That's because Swiatek is quickly establishing herself as a force in women's tennis and a player no one wants to face. She won her third Grand Slam title at the U.S. Open on Saturday by beating Ons Jabeur 6-2, 7-6 (5). That gave Swiatek 10 consecutive triumphs in finals, every one in straight sets. If Swiatek keeps playing and performing like this, if she manages to remain healthy and grounded, she has the skills and the mindset to keep adding to her career totals.
Atalanta wasted a chance to reclaim the Serie A lead when it was held to a 1-1 draw at home by promoted Cremonese. The result left unbeaten Atalanta second but level on points with leader Napoli and third-place AC Milan. Emanuele Valeri equalized for Cremonese in the 78th off a rebound four minutes after Merih Demiral had put Atalanta ahead by redirecting a free kick from Teun Koopmeiners with a header. The Champions League game between Scottish club Rangers and Napoli has been rescheduled from Tuesday to Wednesday because of the limited police resources available following the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Away fans were urged to stay away from the match. UEFA says that the game has been pushed back by 24 hours because of a “severe limitations on police resources and organizational issues related to the ongoing events surrounding the national mourning” for the queen. The European governing body also said away fans would not be allowed in for the game and urged Italian supporters “to respect this extraordinary situation” and not travel to Glasgow.
